Carly

Carly has a diploma in “Fitness and Health Promotion”, is a certified personal trainer, group fit, and aerial instructor. Exercise and movement has always been an important part of her life. She began her aerial journey in 2018 and hasn’t looked back. She has explored a variety of apparatuses, including pole, trapeze, silks, and lyra. While she has a deep appreciation for all of them, lyra holds a special place in her heart and is where you’ll most often find her.

What started as a fun way to stay active, quickly became something more, introducing her to a strong and supportive community. Carly is best known for her bendy, dynamic movement on the hoop and her fast-paced choreography.

She has competed in multiple competitions, earning 1st place at a regional competition in 2023 and 1st place in a virtual competition in 2024.

Carly loves being a part of the Kindred Spirits Pole team and can’t wait to see you in class!

Amy Assassin

Amy began her pole journey in 2017 when she was spontaneously invited to a class and she hasn’t stopped since. She loves watching her students find their individual strengths and seeing their confidence grow through movement. She is best known for being their loudest cheerleader. Amy is a firm believer that physical activity shouldn’t feel like a chore and is determined to make it fun!

Rhiannon

Trainer

Rhiannon began pole dancing in 2014, as a way to get out of the gym and connect with a different style of movement. Rhiannon was immediately drawn to pole because not only does it build strength and flexibility, but also bravery and confidence. Not to mention, she had a lot of fun- and loved the sense of community that comes with learning and working at a pole fitness studio! As a personal trainer and fitness instructor, Rhiannon strives to foster a sense of body awareness, confidence, and community in her clients.

Rhiannon has been working in the fitness industry since 2014. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics in 2016, and her Masters in Human Health and Nutrition Sciences in 2019. Her passion for fitness began with her own fitness journey in 2010, where aesthetics drove her desire for change. Now, she values her health, longevity, empowerment, and fun over aesthetics. Rhiannon is a NASM certified personal trainer, PN nutrition coach, and certified fascial stretch therapist- meaning she can help you with fitness, nutrition, or mobility and aches and pains. She also teaches Fitness and Health Promotion classes in post-secondary education.

Katie

Trainer

Katie started her pole journey in 2016 on a whim and never looked back. She never considered herself a very strong or graceful person before trying pole, but now she can’t imagine a world where she’s not dancing. She is best known in the studio for her hypnotic, leggy flow and for being a certified muscle mommy. Katie loves watching her students and personal training clients flourish and find their inner badass. You can find her teaching heels, intermediate pole, and flexibility classes.

Originally from the UK, Sian began her pole journey in 2012 and has since grown her passion for movement and expression. She’s also explored other aerial apparatus, including hoop, silks, and hammock.

Sian has competed in PSO (2023 & 2024), Pole Theatre Canada (2024), and Skripped Down (2025), earning medals at several competitions. She loves blending storytelling with contemporary movement to create expressive, emotional pole.

Now based in Kitchener, Sian brings a warm, supportive vibe to her classes and is excited to share her passion as part of the KSP team.

Julie

Instructor

Julie has been active her whole life, swimming and rowing competitively throughout high school. In 2010, while doing her PhD in the UK, she discovered pole dancing and was instantly hooked. It reminded her of being a kid on a playground and the joy it gave her. Soon after, she began to dabble in other aerial and movement activities including lyra, rope, and contemporary dance. Julie continues to enjoy performing and competing; creating and moving becoming a form of personal therapy. In 2015, Julie completed her 200hr yoga teacher training certification . This new knowledge further bolstered her belief that movement and play is important for everyone. Her goal is to help others gain strength, flexibility, and confidence, but most importantly to find joy in the present moment. She has taught yoga and aerial classes to a diverse range of individuals from school children to adults with disabilities, and strives to make her classes inclusive and accessible by providing support and modifications. So let's play!

Kelly

Instructor

Kelly’s pole journey began over a decade ago and, while she has explored the worlds of hoop and hammock, pole has remained her ultimate first love. When she isn’t upside down in the studio, Kelly is a dedicated educator and proud mom to two humans, two cats, and a Chihuahua named Bruce.

A self-proclaimed musical theatre nerd, Kelly specializes in creating “unexpected” playlists with a theatrical flair that bring energy and personality to every performance. Her creativity extends beyond movement- from the classroom to the stage, she stays busy designing and sewing custom pole and burlesque costumes.

Always eager to learn and evolve as an artist, Kelly’s newest movement obsession is the intricate art of belly dancing.

Kelly is thrilled to be at KSP, reconnecting with old friends and forging new bonds with the pole community. Whether you want to chat costumes, parenting, or the perfect Broadway track for a routine, she’s always happy and ready to connect. Follow her on Instagram: @invertedmuse
